How to write Your Name in Photoshop Tutorial

I will show you how to do this simple animation.

 1) First, you have to type your name in the 600 by 150 pixel area.  Choose the type of text and color.  Then you have to rasterize the layer.



2) Next you take the eraser tool with the hardness at 100% and you have to start erasing little at a time and make a new frame every time you erase.  Make sure that you an only see 1 layer at a time.



3) Now, you duplicate each layer every time after you erase a little bit.  Then make sure that you only see 1 layer so you can see what you are erasing.

4) Just keep erasing a little bit at a time until you erase all your letters.







5) Once you have erased all your letters, select all your frames.  Also press create new frame animation on the bottom of the page.

6) Once you have selected all your frames click on the three bars on the lower right hand of the page. You will see the option create new frames from layers and click on that.s

7) Select all the frames and click on the three bars.  Then select reverse frames and you are good to go! Congratulations you have created an animation!

This is my ten words.  I used a new animation tool this time.  I didn't do frame by frame animation this time, I used video timeline.  I put words in the final position and worked backwards and used transitions.

This is my second animation using "Squash and Stretch." I did add an exit animation with the ball getting bigger when it exits.  This ball is bouncing over my name.
